关帝庙崇宁殿
The Guandi Temple in Guandis Native Place
In China, from villages to cities, from areas on either side of the Yangtze
River and places both inside and outside the Great Wall, there is virtually no
escaping the omnipresent view of Guandi Temple, a shrine honoring Guan Yu, who
is also extolled as "God of War". Yet none is more sanctioned or better known
than the Guandi Temple built in Xiezhou, where Guan Yu was born.
With a history of 1,400 years under its belt, this temple complex has a
staggering 18,000 square meters, split into northern and southern sections. The
huge architectural complex encloses gardens, pavilions, kiosks, memorial gates
and arches, rockeries, among others-all surrounded by dense forests of peach
trees.
在我国,从乡村到城镇,从大河上下到长城内外,供奉“武圣”关羽的关帝庙,到处可见。不过,最有权威,最富盛名的,还得算作他家乡运城的“解州关帝庙”了。
